The Netherlands Embassy

For an event at The Netherlands Embassy in Washington D.C. to discuss the future of the partnership between the United States & The Netherlands: “Shared Past, Shared Values, Shared Future”, byAMT Inc was asked to do an Installation for several spaces in the Embassy.

By curating old & new art works together, we told the story of new and old innovations, landscapes, products of trade, traditions and more. These images can be seen as the continuation of old conversations andthe beginning of new ones.

Manufactured and installed with FaberExposize presenting photography by Scheltens & Abbenes, Arjan Benning, Cynthia van Elk and Lisa Klappe Photography and old Dutch masters from the Rijksmuseum.

The event:
The Netherlands Embassy in Washington, D.C. invited prominent American and Dutch scholars, politicians, innovators, security and economic experts for a conversation about the relationship between the Netherlands and the United States on January 25, 2017.Trying to rediscover the centuries-old friendship between the two countries in public discussions, presentations and workshops. Five days after the inauguration of the 45th president of the United States, they explored what this relationship could look like under President Donald Trump. The conversation was part of their goal to include interactive debate into our long-term strategies. The best way to predict the future is to create it.
